Galu is located on the Indian Ocean coast of Kenya, some 40 km south of Mombasa. Galu Beach is to be found next door to Diani Beach, and is a popular tourist destination most of the year. The area has a number of beach hotels, cottages and private homes. Many of the latter are owned by retires from Europe.
